With an 800 HP supercharged 6.8L engine, this pony will be a fun ride.

I am curious how this will match up to the new Dodge Demon coming out.

I like!

I graduated HS in '69, when the first muscle cars were arguably in their heyday. The concrete parking lot there had so many after class Goodyear Wide Oval positraction burnouts on it that it appeared to be blacktop. Sunoco 260 gasoline was a best seller, dialed up on the pump by an attendant.
Then came the gas crisis with emissions controls and those days were bygones. The fangs (for the most part) were removed from the beasts. Economy cars rose to prominence.

Now I know the world today needs more responsible use of our resources. But darn, those days were fun.
And seeing this absolutely irresponsible street creation makes me realize that others remember too.

Only thing I'd change on mine if I could afford one would be the color. That *Arrest me Red* color might scream "look at me" a little too loudly. Not counting the throaty purr sure to be coming out the rear.

But I'd love to drive one. If even for just an hour... [smile]

Three doors from the house I grew up was the most beautiful 69 yellow / black Z28.  Lusted hard for that beauty in my HS days.  Yenkos were only a dream.

Nice car, Jerrod!  Oh, and the previews of the Dodge Demon do sound interesting.  Anything described as a "street dragster" has my attention.

I'm with you, Greg.  It's not a responsible vehicle, but I just love the fact that it's being made.  Unless I hit the lottery (which is pretty unlikely since I seldom play [smile]), I don't think I'll find one of these beauties in my garage anytime soon - still, I'm looking forward to seeing one in the wild.

Loved the 69 Camaro, but this was my HS dream, John.

A beauty Mike, especially in hugger orange.  James Blair owned an emerald green 454 450hp 4 speed that terrorized small blocks in my HS days, the sound alone scared me. [smile]  Last I heard he still has it.

4.10 gears don't get very good mileage [wink]

That's sharp, Mike!
I have a 2003 Lingenfelter Tahoe. It has LPE's high performance 6.0 liter engine with a big, fat Magnuson supercharger on top of it. It's nowhere near 800hp, only 475...and it weighs about 6K lbs, probably close to twice the Camaro's weight.
It also has a h/d transmission with Richmond 4.10 gears front & rear and a beefier/tighter suspension.
I imagine it's not nearly as fast as that Camaro, but a boosted LS is the definition of fun! [thumb]
Let's see if I can get a couple of pics to work... Screenshot_2016-11-24-07-42-16.jpg  20161125_125545_HDR.JPG

A home defense shotgun is like your appendix...a relic of some bygone era, rendered unnecessary by evolution. But everyone still has one, and occasionally, they do still kill people.

A buddy of mine just got a Supercharged Nicky Camaro 2016....about 400 miles on it, then I helped him get it up to Chicago for a hotter cam change! $$
I've never been beat on the street, but I'm thinking this thing just might get the job done!
