Bought a Snody Big Boss, but want to put a mirror shine on the blade.

What would be the best stuff to use? Diamond lapping paste?

Polishing wheels or hand rubbed?

I tried a couple polishes from my car products with poor results.... [frown]

Depends on how fine the bevel was ground. Post a pic or two and I might be able to recommend something.

It doesn't appear to have heavy grind lines in the bevel. I would start with 1000 grit and sand the bevels out in one direction and move up to 1500 in a different direction. Continue to move up in 500 increments and sanding in a different direction until you reach 2500. Then with a sewn buff and green rouge, polish with moderate pressure until desired polish is acquired. At this step you'll have to be careful not orange peel your blade. This will happen if you press to hard or polish one area too long. You'll have to re-sand your bevels from the beginning if that happens.

A regrind would give the best result, however can be costly with certain makers.

I hope this helps!
