image.jpg  I think if you love you some Microtech you've probably flirted with other quality brands and their tactical offerings...here, in no specific order, are some of my favorites : Benchmade AFCK limited ed of 250 and possibly my fav BM (because I don't have a 610 Rukus) a 426 Gravitator ...need the 425 Wharencliff

image.jpg  CRKT...these models deserve to be made with upgraded materials, no question about it....the Otanashi Noh Ken and the Hissatsu...both elegant and comfortable in hand..the Hissatsu has great in hand feel because of the handle thickness and finger choil..the Otanashi is a steel frame lock ..would be amazing in titanium and micarta, CF, or a nice polished g10...I believe they're both aus8...I'd be happy with D2 and up🤔....I love the design of both quite a bit

Fantoni, Lone Wolf and Gerber models designed by Bill Harsey👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
HB01 image.jpg
T2
Airframe...nicest folder made by Gerber IMO
Each one of these folders benefits from Harsey's brilliant handle design..they feel like they were almost made for "your" own hand..the Fantoni is the largest at 9 5/16 in overall..the 5 1/8 in handle doesn't feel big in my med-leg hands like the Spyderco Military...it's one of the nicest large production folders out there with great design, quality materials and excellent fit and finish...made by my paisanos in Italia 🇮🇹....really, all these knives are well made...the design deserves it ...the Gerber is amazing...the Lone Wolf deserves better/thicker scales...they were initially made with micarta but it proved to expensive for the price point...so I've heard...Spartan Knives is the most recent company to produce this Harsey design..it was a full titanium frame lock model selling at around $500

image.jpg  Spyderco...from top left...duh🤓
...Superleaf...with thicker cf scales I swapped from the Superhawk...they both use the same handle
...Szabo Folder..should have bought 2..another very large (I know Cold Steel makes pocket swords) folder which retains good in hand feel and ergonomics
...The Military
...Gunting...when I first saw this model years ago (when I first started collecting) I dismissed it as a "weird" Spyderco and passed on it ( on the secondary market)...I ended up reconsidering the Gunting, and a few other Spyderco oddballs...
...Yojimbo2...like a perfect shard of broken glass wrapped in duct tape to fit ur hand...
...Ronin..the precursor to the original Yojimbo..the "actual" shard of glass itself
...P'kal..easy deployment and kind of scary looking..so well made

image.jpg  Benchmade m/a "pretty"😍😘👱‍♀️..hard to see but on the Rift, 3rd from bottom, BM has done a finish close to Microtech's anopeen finish..I feel..it's like a bead blast done over a satin (belt grind) finish...my fave BM finish..

image.jpg  1.Presidio Ultra..stupid sharp hollow ground 440C blade..great design and worth buying..I'm picking up a used/new satin plain edge model...a fantastic knife..
2. 520 Presidio (aluminum scales) on the top ten list of my fave BMs always..also has that nice dull satin finish..beautiful symmetrical drop point with a swedge that MAKES the whole blade 😍
3. Limited ed Rukus ..another gorgeous drop point with a beautiful swedge..the HANDLE grabs your hand!..this will have to hold me over until I get my original large 610 w/micarta and g10
4. The nameless H&K g10 folder or, the 14715...for $110-$120 you can't get a better U.S. made folder..coated D2 steel and the usual rock solid BM construction..my particular model is mechanically perfect and it has made a big impression on me
5. 14205 Mike Snody designed for BM/H&K..these are not easy to come by in the full size 3.4 in blade, 8 in overall..4mm thick blade..like the last knife/#4, this is a solid, smooth great looking folder with the H&K badge on it by way of Benchmade..will buy another should the opportunity arise

And my fave BM autos...the Triage at the bottom is a special one for me...I thought it was going to be tough to snag but I managed to get the exact model I wanted..all three satin models in the pic have the dull satin finish ..against the flat black handles it looks amazing  image.jpg

image.jpg  The Voli was my first BM (but in a SBK model..coated with serrations)....and it's still tops with me..the steel liners are recessed into the nicely sculpted  g10 scales keeping it slim, but not to skinny and the S30V blade is so pleasing to the eye and ground to slice...the Big Summit Lake (15051-2) is my only traditional style folder and I love it as much as my Pohl Force Mike One ...another S30V blade and stabilized wood scales..really nice as it is just sitting in my collection but it would wear " wear" very well

I guess I have a few Benchmades...but 95% of them were purchased during the first half of my 6 years collecting...there are about 50ish of them ..my Spydercos number about the same but Microtech is the brand I'm most actively seeking...eh, along with Seki Japan produced SOG fixed blades....I'll get some pics posted soon...I have a California  marked SK5 Tigershark coming on this week AND a C46p Spyderco...that's the Lum Folder  with titanium handle🤤..and plain edge...can't wait to get both of them..two very special and rare knives😎
