I promised a friend he'd have right of first refusal on a Microtech LCC that I no longer have a need for, and i'm finding wildly varying prices for it. I believe it's a Gen 2, 154CM blade, titanium bolsters, carbon fiber scales, D/A model, not beat up but definitely used. I've seen knives with the same steel/bolsters selling from between $250-$595, which is obviously quite a gap.

It's not a safe queen, and the guy i'm selling it to isn't looking for one.  So I realize I'm not looking at the high end of the range. I'm the second owner, I know I have the belt pouch around somewhere but I don't think I got the box when I bought it. There are a few small scratches on the blade and scuffs on the bolsters, but it's hard to capture them on camera.

This is my first post to the board and if I picked the wrong sub forum just let me know.

Your knife is a Gen2 LCC/DA.
If the DA is still operable, it should fetch  ~$400...? Maybe more...

The DA works, but can get finicky if it hasn't been cleaned recently.

Well then, clean it as well as possible before selling.
Then adjust your price accordingly. I mentioned $400 above. It should sell for a little more if its in good shape besides some scratches...

Send it in for a "spa treatment", your knife will be in its best possible condition.

Is MT actually doing a spa treatment like Chris Reeve?  Back in the day I’d be scared they would lose it.

I was always worried but have been pleaseny surprised. Sent in a couple L-UDTs less than 2 weeks later, back in hand and was as new as they could be made. I'll do it again if need be.
