Attached are a few pics of an original unmarked Ancient Microtech. This is believed to be from one of Mr Marfiones first runs. A (unnamed friend) with close ties to Anthony purchased directly from him at a gun show in the early 1990's before he even had a company name and was making these out of his home.

A true gem of Microtech history!!!

The knife you show is a (newer) Vero Beach Industries mini UDT and not the vintage. They are great knives to use but not much collection value. Here's a pic of some early (four from 94 and one from 1/95) UDT's for comparison. This is just my opinion, not trying to be the bearer of bad news. I've also attached a photo from AZ knife site, ones similar to the one you show come up from time to time

Do you know why it is unmarked?? We are talking 25+ years ago so info was sparse from my buddy's memory and he could not tell me. He also thought it was one of his first but obviously he was wrong. Thanks for the heads up DW.

Always a wealth of knowledge you are! (STARWARS PUN INTENDED) LOL.

not sure why it's unmarked, perhaps due to "infringement" issues. I've attached a couple photos of the first prototypes  (from the 20th Anniv MT book).

and remember... "it's always darkest just before it goes completely black."

David,......I can’t look at pics like this...... it reminds me of how GOOD the earliest pieces are....and exactly what my collection is lacking.....
